African American Media, LLC established an Internet presence in 2003 as an advertising company focused on bridging the divide between Black Consumers and Black Businesses. In the Baltimore, Maryland - Washington DC corridor Black consumers, in 2003, spent 14-billion dollars into the economy with less than one billion staying in the Black community. For the same time period and geographic area the U.S Census reported there were more than 30-thousand Black owned businesses. However, try finding them!
We realized that if Black consumers cannot find Black businesses than, of course, they couldn't spend their money and resource with them. Consequently we created Baltimore's Black Business Directory - BmoreBlack.com to bridge the economic divide between the Black consumer and the Black businesses. Since that time we have observed other concerns and needs - e.g. advertising, business knowledge, Internet access, web site design and development, and overall business practices - and have enlarged our company focus to meet the needs of Black businesses and small businesses in general.
Since 2003 we have expanded our advertising products to included more than fifteen business advertising directories, including advertising in the Washington DC market and advertising for and to the larger White business and consumer market. We offer business consulting through our subsidiary B2B-Fix - Solutions For Small Businesses and web site design and development through Anu Web Design. We offer comprehensive printing services for all manner of business branding and promotion. Our newest product and service offered is Promotion and Print Advertising Distribution.
